Founder, Connect Retreat Host
Dr. Sarah Baquet
Candor was created from a belief that women deserve spaces that feel grounding, intentional, emotionally honest, and deeply human.
Founded by Sarah Baquet, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, published author/researcher, Program Director, Counselor Educator, and retreat curator, Candor brings together psychology-informed practices, nature, movement, reflection, and meaningful community to create experiences centered around connection.
With a professional background spanning mental health counseling, higher education, clinical supervision, wellness programming, and counselor training, Sarah’s work is informed by years of experience supporting emotional well-being, personal development, relational growth, and psychological insight across both clinical and educational settings. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Professor of Counseling, Program Director, and published researcher, her approach integrates psychology-informed practices, nervous system awareness, authenticity, and meaningful human connection to create experiences that feel both emotionally grounding and intentionally transformative.
As a mother of two and someone who feels most grounded outdoors, Sarah is deeply inspired by the restorative power of nature, movement, beauty, and new experiences. She believes wellness is not only found in solitude or self-reflection, but also through shared experiences, collective connection, adventure, meaningful conversation, and spaces that allow women to feel both supported and expanded.
Her approach to Candor reflects a balance of emotional depth and elevated experience — creating retreats and gatherings that feel restorative, thoughtful, grounding, and genuinely connected.
What began as a small retreat gathering has evolved into a thoughtfully curated community experience for women seeking more intentional ways to connect with themselves, others, and the lives they are building.
